On Wednesday the 2nd of September a bunch of Rainbow Youth staff and board members met with board members of OUTLine to discuss some exciting collaboration plans.
The biggest talking point was a proposed shared premises – with enough space and parking for volunteers of both organisations, as well as a more suited space for RY’s groups and meetings as well as OUTLines call centre volunteers and private counselling services.
Other key aspects that were discussed included joint funding opportunities in order to sustain a shared premises, as well as mapping out some key cultural goals – like creating a memorandum of understanding for both organisations to agree on common terms to be used, as well as making sure that both organisations provide a deeper level of cultural diversification.
Our General Manager Duncan, and OUTLine’s General Manager Trevor are leading the way with set action plans to get all of these things in motion. We’re super excited for what the collaborative future of Rainbow Youth and OUTLine holds!
